Respect our forces with Hounds For Heroes

29th June at Admiral Lord Nelson School in Portsmouth.

Hounds for Heroes is pleased to announce a great family dog walk in Portsmouth on Saturday 29th June. This is our way of commemorating Armed Forces Day and showing our thanks and respect to our brave men and women who put themselves in harms way to protect us.

Join us for a lovely 1 mile walk, bring your dog, your family and friends! We will meet at 9.15 on the Coastal Path by the Harvester Restaurant on the Eastern Road, Portsmouth. From there we will set off at 9.30 walking south along the coastal path by the waters edge to the People's Memorial. At the memorial we will take a moment to pay our respects to our service personnel, from there you can either continue your walk or return with us to the start point where we will show you the way to the Community Summer Fayre at Admiral Lord Nelson School (which is about seven minutes walk away). There, Hounds For Heroes will have a stand ready to welcome our great supporters, we will provide water, treats for your dogs and be on hand to talk about the charity!

There is so much to see and enjoy at the Fayre, it is dog friendly so stay and make a day of it and have fun! The popular Summer Fayre has something to offer everyone, there will be a great line up of activities; entertainment, dancing, music, refreshments, displays and dog shows as well as an opportunity to meet Allen and EJ, the volunteers and dogs of Hounds For Heroes.

This is a great way to do something memorable for the whole family and a wonderful way to spend Armed Forces day with a difference! Hope to see you there!

Please be a responsible dog owner and clean clean up after your dog.
Due to the proximity of the main road, we advise that dogs should be kept on the lead.
Water for the dogs will be provided on the route and at the Hounds For Heroes stand.
There is free parking available in the car park off the Eastern Road just south if the Harvester restaurant and at the Admiral Lord Nelson School
